Sand Dune Restoration Project in Rogers Park
Neighbor, activist and local nice lady, Ann Whelan, has been helping this small patch of coastline recover to a natural state.

This picture was taken 2/25/08 on a windy day after a snow storm.

Super Tuesday

On this Super Tuesday of '08, we had expected a clear recognition of who would be our democratic presidential candidate. Doesn't look like that will happen now. Obama and Clinton will continue pitch themselves as the next best President. This looks to be a long year of political activity!

The picture shows a Victoria amazonica flower bud in the Palm House pond of the Lincoln Park Conservatory. The following day, the bud opened roughly the size of a very large grapefruit, closed that night and opened for the final time one last day.

Photo Fun

A friend recently offered me some feedback regarding my photography. He said that a common theme of my shots is that they contain a strong line statement. I reviewed a few and found out he was correct! I do appreciate having an idea articulated!

Iowa Caucus
Okay, It is no surprise I am rooting for Hillary. I was disappointed in the outcome of the Iowa caucus, but enjoy the process of the primaries. I was upset with Edwards when he dismissed Hillary in an interview on CNN saying "Me and Obama will do well in New Hampshire" He then went on to berate Hillary on spending so much money and still losing. But then he turns around and says money is not an issue for voters and that's why he came in #2. Well, if money is not the issue, why should Hillary be ashamed of what she spent. arg....

To be honest they are all good candidates, so the excitement of the game is fun to watch. I do hope Hillary has a come back now that she is not the focus. It might be a blessing to have everyone talking about Obama now. I do want a woman as President. It will be so much fun to hear people say "Madame President".

So there you have it my political rant.

What do you think?

Tim
