Our friend, Joan, in California created a lovely silk quilt for us. We were able to chose the colors and approve the design but this is a true expression of her artistic and sewing talents. The rhythm, flow and fine craftwork is all her. Beautiful in all aspects! And, in case you are interested, she takes commissions!

22,000 married couples are now in legal limbo with their rights removed. Had we still lived in California this would be us.

Same sex marriage rights are civil rights. Religious blacks, Mormons, Orthodox Jews and the Christian right joined forces to help defeat Prop 8. Now it can be said these groups have their hate in common.

Clearly there will be struggle to claim this needed change. We invite all to examine their own views on what love means.
